Making Youth Sports Accessible for Every Child

Food Truck Wars and our organizer The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is proud to partner with KidSport Surrey/White Rock as our official 2025 charity partner. A portion of every optional ticket donation, collected both in advance online and in-person at the event gate, will help local kids get off the sidelines and into the game.

KidSport Surrey/White Rock is transforming our community by removing financial barriers that prevent kids from participating in organized sports. Their mission is simple but powerful: ensure that no child misses out on the life-changing benefits of sports due to registration costs.

KidSport supports Over 1,200 Children across Surrey & White Rock

The impact of their work speaks volumes. In 2024 alone, KidSport granted $474,469 to help 1,204 local children participate in organized sports. Through their grant program, they provide up to $400 per child annually to cover registration fees for kids aged 18 and under in the Surrey and White Rock communities. What makes their work especially meaningful is that 100% of these funds stay within our community.

KidSport Grant Program: Making Sports Accessible for Surrey & White Rock Youth

Through KidSport’s grant program, families in Surrey and White Rock can receive up to $400 per child annually to cover sports registration fees. These grants are a lifeline for many families, ensuring that financial constraints never stand between a child and their chance to play.
